Wow. Somehow I went to sleep last night and the calendar still said "January", but when I woke up this morning, it had mysteriously switched itself to "February". Apart from being the shortest month of the year, this year's February brings with it the promise of some potentially great games. White Knight Chronicles hits shelves tomorrow, and then next week will see the release of both Bioshock 2 and Dante's Inferno. And beyond that, the world will finally get a look at Sega's reboot of the Aliens vs. Predator franchise (not to be confused with the long-since-forgotten Aliens: Colonial Marines) beginning on the 16th.

Rather than spend a ton of money on a Super Bowl ad for the game (unlike certain other publishers), Sega has opted to release the latest ad for the game to the internet. The new trailer highlights the game's Survivor Mode, which will challenge players, as Marines, to take on swarms of blood-thirsty aliens. If it helps, you can think of it as any other shooter's Zombie mode, but replace the undead with the aliens. It will be available for up to 4 gamers playing through the mode on co-op.

One of the most interesting aspects of this particular trailer, to me, is that although it's been released as the English version (hence all the text being in our language), all of the characters in this spot are quite obviously speaking in Spanish. Maybe the video was meant for another region and was used by accident, or maybe there will be the option to play the game in another language. Regardless, you don't need to be bilingual to see that the action in the upcoming AvP is going to be fast and furious. I have a feeling it's going to be an expensive month...
