First Gameplay Footage of Tom Clancy's EndWar
Frag Dolls Get Their War On
by Sean
One of my favorite game franchises has historically been the Tom Clancy brand. Hell, the reason I bought a Dreamcast back in the day was so I could get the original Rainbow Six. The Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, and Rainbow Six franchises have continuously produced game after game that have brought the noise, the funk, and lots and lots of action.
Today, maybe to coincide with the release of Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, we are getting our first look at gameplay for the next evolution of the Tom Clancy game world, the upcoming real-time war strategy game EndWar.
Four Frag Dolls went to the Ubisoft studios in San Francisco where they got a chance to test out a level of EndWar. One of the cooler features you can see in the video is the implementation of voice controls for the game. Holding down the R-button brings up your troop order mode, and then you just bark your orders into the headset. Granted, when you play, you may not be as tempted to cheer loudly for weapons of mass destruction, but hey, you're not a Frag Doll!

Only thing good is the red head. :P Not really my type of game but, it looks cool.
I was really excited when I first heard about End War. Then I found out it was an RTS. The disappointment soon followed.
On the one hand, the Frag Dolls are annoying and unnecessary in this clip. On the other hand...
The game looks nice, though. Cool graphics and tight gameplay. I doubt it will give SC2 a run for its money, but still a cool title. Another genre infiltrated by Clancy - what's next?
