Force Unleashed Demo Breaks Download Records
Three weeks ago, I and the rest of the non E3-attending world got our first chance to play what might be this month’s most hotly anticipated game: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. 360 and PS3 users alike proclaimed the demo a huge success, as it allowed many of us to fulfill decades-long dreams of controlling the Force. Although my own personal childhood dream was to be a Jedi and not a Sith, I was willing to compromise, especially since it meant throwing TIE fighters at hordes of Stromtroopers.
The word out of LucasArts would appear to show that my love of controlling an energy field that surrounds us, binds us and penetrates us is shared by a record number of gamers. According to the release, the 360 demo was downloaded a million times in only eight days. The previous record holder, Too Human, took nine days to reach the same number. Further, LucasArts claims that when you total up the PSN and XBLA downloads, over 2.3 million consoles worldwide added the demo in the past three weeks.
It will be interesting to see if these numbers for a free demo translate into dollars spent on the game. I, for one, know that I will have this game on the September 16th release date. And, just to repeat myself, if you haven’t gotten this demo yet, not only should you do so immediately, apparently you’re also in the minority.

back on the subject of the game, is there any kind of online or is it strictly a single player affair? Also trophies on the PS3 version?

Give me the cast of the original star wars anyday over the crap cast they threw into the new ones. Han Solo owns them all

I'm sorry, but I refuse to believe that the acting and dialogue in II and III are any worse than in IV-VI. The dialogue has always been for shit.
Star Wars movies are about awesome battles in space made for 12 year olds. Therefore, II and III are the best of the franchise.

sorry but IMO, the last three star wars, episodes I - III were just a joke. Horrible acting, crappy dialogue, bad casting, good fight scenes and special effects. When you put those three movies against the original three, yes they may have better special effects, but they are completely torn apart by the acting, dialogue and just overall greatness the first 3 presented.

Enough with the hate on Episodes II and III. Visually they are the strongest of all six movies, and there is nothing in the Star Wars universe that can hold a candle to the battle on Geonosis. Also, General Grievous FTW!

with ya mellow, you knew with all the star wars fans (even after the last three were terrible) that this would get a huge amount of hits. I played the demo and the game was ok, not getting though.
