New H.A.W.X. Trailer Flies High

"You're no longer in the American Air Force"

by Sean

A new trailer for the upcoming Ubisoft action flight game H.A.W.X. has hit the internets today, showing off more combat, and giving further hints about the plot. Check it out:

If you look closely at those ground troops, you can see that they have the trademark G.R.A.W. skull patch on their shoulder, showing the continued synergy among Ubisoft's Tom Clancy titles. I find it a bit interesting that the trailer points out that the world in which the game is set is one without state-sponsored militaries, but the US President's jet still flies under the designation of "Air Force One".

Although I'm pretty sure that most of this trailer is cinematic, rather than in-game, it's still pretty clear to see that H.A.W.X. will be, at the very least, a great looking game experience. Utilizing GeoEye satellite imagery for both the game and the cut-scenes, H.A.W.X. looks to bring photo-realism to a whole new stratosphere. Missions will be set in Rio de Janeiro, Washington D.C., Cape Canaveral, and the Middle East, and this trailer shows a brief hint of most of them.

H.A.W.X. flies onto store shelves tomorrow. Are you getting it?

i highly doubt i will pick this up. The demo was unimpressive in my opinion. The environments felt a bit stale, the combat was ok, but nothing about it amazed me. I will keep an eye on the reviews to see what people think.

Agreed Voyou San, but it is definitely cool to hear "Missile lock on Air Force One".
