PlayStation Home to Lose Voice Chat
Now You'll Have to Read How Bored Everyone Is
by Sean

PlayStation Home debuted last week to much fanfare but not much excitement from gamers. Sure the world of Home looks fairly impressive, and the interface is remarkable for its level of polish and simplicity, but really, what's the point? If I wanted to play Second Life, I would have just bought a PC in the first place. But I digress.
Sony has announced a scheduled maintenance period for Home beginning tonight at midnight (PST) in order to upgrade from Home 1.03 to 1.04. Home will be available during the maintenance, however once it is complete, voice chat will be disappearing from the world of Home. There's no word in the announcement as to why the decision was made to remove this feature, but Sony is assuring us that voice chat will return at some point in the future.
For both those of you who are still playing Home and will lament the loss of your voice chat features, Sony recommends purchasing a PS3 wireless keypad. That way you can spend $45 to use a free service. Good work Sony.

I don't know why anyone would be surprised by this. Sony's been doing a really good job of taking steps backwards in this generation.
Still above Nintendo in terms of communication.
It's a feature, not a bug.
That'll move a lot a lot of keyboard attachments....
