I have a soft spot for the world of Aardman animation. If the name doesn't sound familiar, maybe their most famous creations, Wallace and Gromit will. That Limey stop-motion bloke and his Harpo-esque mutt have starred in shorts and features alike, winning audiences and Oscars for over a decade.

One of my favorite W&G shorts is the Academy Award winning A Close Shave, where we meet the adorable Shaun the Sheep. Fans loved Shaun so much that in 2007 Aardman gave him his own television show, brilliantly entitled, "Shaun the Sheep".  And since the World Government enacted the law stating that no entertainment product can go two years without a video game being licensed from it (didn't you read about that law?), Shaun the Sheep will be coming to the DS.

As Shaun, you must find the rest of your flock before the farmer comes home. D3, publishers of Dark Sector and Puzzle Quest DS, promise "fan-favorite characters, items and locations from the much-loved stop-motion animated series". And today, we got a trailer for it:

I have to say, I'm not overly impressed with the look of the game (although I love the randomly interspersed clips from the show). I mean, I know it's only a DS game, but this looks like it could be played on a TI-81 calculator. Look for Shaun the Sheep in September.
