The new HD 2D Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 is nearly upon us. For the first time since I can't rememeber when, I find myself excited by the prospect of a game featuring the iconic blue rodent. No more needless third dimensions, no more Tails; just scaled-down, old school Sonic running around like an insane animal, collecting rings, destroying robots, and chasing Dr. Robotnik.

So once again, Sega has released a new video for the game, and in keeping with the model they've set out with the game's other trailers, it focuses in on one specific level of the game. This time around it's the Mad Gear Zone, which looks like a mix between something from Donkey Kong Country and Contra. And, again, there's not much I can say apart from, "CANNOT WAIT!".
