David Hasselhoff Will Be In PAIN!
Do You Really Want To Hurt Him? Yes. You Probably Do.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for next month’s Movie Studio expansion to the PlayStation Network game, PAIN. The Amusement Park expansion from last month rekindled my love for flinging people headlong into buildings, roller coasters, smokestacks, and mimes. Especially mimes. What could be better than bringing PAIN’s distinct brand of sadistic physical comedy to a movie lot? Well, how about THE HOFF!
That’s correct, David Hasselhoff, of Knight Rider, Baywatch and bathroom floor burger fame, will be a playable launchable character in the new expansion. The news was first announced by People Magazine, then confirmed by David himself on today’s PlayStation Blog. In the People article, Hasselhoff states that "The idea of 'hurting The Hoff' or 'hassling The Hoff' was just hysterical to me…I don't know why, I think it was from growing up watching the Three Stooges and the idea of hurting yourself was funny to me." Hoff goes on to say that he’s “not much of a gamer,” but that "I like to be in them. The great video games now are making more than major motion pictures."
Causing David Hasselhoff great physical pain has been a dream of mine for some time now, and I am psyched about hurling his overacting self into billboards and movie sets, but don’t think that the Hoff won’t be striking back with some pain of his own. As a small act of vengeance, Hasselhoff has recorded a song for the expansion; a cover of Culture Club’s “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?” And no amount of human propulsion/mime collision can match up to the auditory agony that will result from that.
