When Microsoft’s Games on Demand feature arrives on Xbox 360s next week, we in America know exactly what games will be available for download.  It’s a pretty sweet list, with a couple of shooters, some western RPGs, a handful of action adventure titles, and plenty of arcade racing titles; all the stuff American gamers tend to gravitate to.  But what about Japan?  They couldn’t care less about Fable II, Assassin’s Creed or Call of Duty 2.  So what games will they get on August 11?

The Japanese Xbox 360 market, such as it is, will get significantly fewer games than Americans, but they tend to skew more toward eastern tastes.  Take a look at the list, provided by Microsoft Japan.

Idolmaster
Idolmaster Live 4 U
Viva Pinata
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Perfect Dark Zero
Bullet Witch
Fight Night: Round 3
Rainbow Six: Vegas

No first person shooters, only one arcade racer, one action title, and no western RPGs.  No RPGs at all, in fact.  I don’t envy them. But hey, with a Japanese Xbox Live account you may get to play Idolmaster in America without modding your Xbox.  That makes it totally worth it.
