2K Sports’ exclusive deal with Major League Baseball ensures that if you want to buy an MLB game for the Xbox 360 next year, it’ll be either MLB 2K10 or some childish backyard nonsense.  Sadly, the MLB 2K series has been pretty poorly received, and with no hype coming from the 2K camp to indicate otherwise, we can only assume that 2K10 will be more of the same.  Oh well.  At least we know who’s going to be on the cover.

A member of a marketing survey for the game became a tipster by sending pics of four possible covers for Major League Baseball 2K10 to Kotaku.  All four covers feature Tampa Bay Rays Third Baseman, Evan Longoria.

While this isn’t confirmation that Longoria will be on the cover, the tipster also sent in a pic of the NDA he was given at the marketing survey, lending credence to both the info and the power of irony.  Furthermore, the covers seem to match the art style used for both NHL 2K10 and NBA 2K10.

Longoria was a Golden Glove and Silver Slugger winner this year, and batted .281 with 33 home runs and 113 RBI.
