New Final Fantasy Game Revealed
Calm Down, It's Just Crystal Chronicles
The most recent issue of anime magazine, Shonen Jump, features an ad for the newest entry in the Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles series. The game has been given the ever-so-catchy title, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, because there’s apparently a surplus of colons in Japan. Not a whole lot of info is given about the title, but it is revealed that it will be released in Japan for the Wii and DS on January 29, 2009. In addition, the game will allow players on both consoles to play side by side, and the Wii version will allow you to use your Mii in the game in some form.
With the exception of the recent My Life as a King WiiWare title, the Crystal Chronicles games have always been more action-based than those in the core Final Fantasy series, and there’s no reason to believe this will change with Echoes of Time. We’ll let you know when more info is available, like what it looks like and when it’s coming to America.
