Back in 2006, when there was very little for PS3 owners to play, Sony fans’ best option was Resistance: Fall of Man.  It was a fun, great-looking shooter that was big on innovative weapons and small on depth.  In the 2 years since, the PS3 library has grown significantly, offering many more gameplay options, but the interest in a sequel to Insomniac’s FPS has never waned.  

While we await a solid release date for the title, Insomniac has released a video showing some very early Resistance 2 gameplay.  Have a look-see.



Like I said, it’s very early.  The video quality isn’t helping matters either, but from what I can gather, it looks like multiplayer will be more of a focus for the sequel.  There also looks to be even more of a Halo influence than the last one, with bubble shields and dramatic orchestral music all around.  

I very much enjoyed the original, so I look forward to seeing something a bit more representative of the final product.  Anybody else on board for this one?
