Rumor: Is Rockstar Developing the Next Max Payne?

Over at EGM, Quartermann is reporting a rumor that the next Max Payne game will be developed by Rockstar Toronto. The dev team is the same one who worked on The Warriors, Manhunt 2 and the original PS2 version of Max Payne. The unsubstantiated story claims that the original developer, Remedy, is too busy with other projects like Alan Wake.
In addition, Quartermann claims that Rockstar North, Rockstar’s varsity team, if you will, is currently working on an undisclosed PS3 exclusive. No idea what that title might be, but if Rockstar’s working on it, we can bet it’ll be bloody and violent. Or table tennis. One of them.
