Rumor: Jake Gyllenhaal Is The Prince Of Persia
Or At Least He'll Play Him In The Movie
According to Latino Review, who cite "mutiple sources in Hollywood," Disney has offered the titular role in the upcoming Prince of Persia movie to Jake Gyllenhaal.
Please note that at this point, this is purely a rumor, and no one ha confirmed the pick. Gyllenhaal seems like a pretty good fit for the Prince (except that he's not, ya know, Persian,) but then again, so did the last rumored Prince, Orlando Bloom.
Not sure if this'll present a problem or not, but Jake is currently nursing an injured ankle. With a movie that promises to be full of action and Parkour, a bum leg could delay shooting for months, and could be a dcidng factor on who gets the job.
I like Gyllenhaal and I hope he gets the role. More importantly, I hope the movie, which is a Bruckheimer production, doesn't suck terribly.

I think Maggie would be the better choice.
I just couldn't see him as a prince of persia guy at all. I mean, can't they get someone who is actually Iranian or atleast middle eastern to play the role? come on.
