The Heavy Rain demo hits PS3s next week, but those without enough patience to wait out the next 6 days or so have another option; solve a mystery, and play the demo now.  Over at Precinct52.com, they apparently need your help in solving Case 1117, and those who provide the right evidence will be able to download the demo, which includes playable scenes for both private eye Scott Shelby and Detective Norman Jayden.

The site is currently down, due to heavy usage, but when it was up, it tasked players with providing four missing pieces of evidence to solve the fictional crime.  Those who manage to find the four pieces in the moody, atmospheric alternate reality game will receive a download code for the demo.

• Coffee shop C (which reads "diner")
