Sony has announced that a new PS3 Bluetooth headset will go on the market this month. This will replace the old PS3 Bluetooth headset, and will be 30% smaller with improved noise cancellation technology, as well as new phone-related features like three-way calling and call waiting. It will cost $49.99
Sorry if I seem disinterested in writing this, but I can’t help but shake my head at the people who bought the original headset. Since the PS3 uses Bluetooth, it can connect to literally any Bluetooth headset. That includes any of the thousand or so brands that can be purchased for about $20. I’m sorry to say it, but anyone who bought the underperforming official PS3 headset kind of got suckered. Maybe this new one has spectacular noise-cancellation abilities, and actually is worth its hefty price tag, but I’m sticking with my $15 JWin headset.
