New Releases
Ooooh boy. Last week I proclaimed that the summer gaming season was upon us. Apparently I jumped the gun a bit, as there are only five titles coming out this week. Two of them are parlor game translations, on is a game show tie-in and another is the third re-packaging of a once-classic title. So that leaves just one actual new title, and sadly, it's from the developers of Bullet Witch. Feh. This week's pick of the week? Since nothing listed here is worth a damn, I'll go with Libertad, the new album from Velvet Revolver. Talk to me in August. I'm going back to sleep.
XBOX 360
Vampire Rain - 7/3
A Splinter Cell clone that pits you against vampires sounds perfect. Sadly, it's by Cavia, Inc., a developer whose best game was Drakengard, which sucked.
PS3
Ninja Gaiden Sigma - 7/3
Ninja Gaiden was simply awesome. Ninja Gaiden Black was equally awesome, because it was the same game. This one will be the same thing, but in 1080i. Woo-hoo? Hey, Tecmo, how about an actual sequel?
NINTENDO DS
Platinum Sudoku - 7/3
Vegas Casino: High 5 - 7/3
Deal or No Deal - 7/3
How crappy is this week? Seriously, I can't believe I even have to acknowledge the existence of Howie Mandel, much less show a pic of his hideous digital doppleganger.

Why can't game developers understand that we buy games all year long... the movie people understand it (although they still release movies like Transformers and Shrek the Third...) but somehow we have to wait until Christmas to get anything worth playing.
